Tufts is on the cutting edge of the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, starting at the very top, with President Anthony Monaco, a renowned geneticist. Our students thrive in the classroom and in the lab. Join us for the STEM Open House, a half day program where prospective students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math can meet Tufts professors, tour campus and laboratory spaces, eat lunch in the dining halls, and talk with current students about their research and internship experiences. Tufts will be offering an open house on our Fenway campus showcasing the Bachelor of Fine Arts program and our Five-Year Combined BA/BS and BFA Degree program. We invite those students who are seriously considering a career in the arts to join us; you will learn about our interdisciplinary studio curriculum, talk to current students, and tour our studio facilities. Our Arts and Humanities Open House will highlight both academic and extracurricular programs in the arts - including drama, dance, music, studio art, and art history - as well as in the humanities - including English, history, classics, religion, international literacy and visual cultures, film and media studies, and more. Whether you want to major or minor in one of these academic programs, or just explore your passion for them as an extracurricular pursuit, this open house will introduce you to our many opportunities. The Voices of Tufts Diversity Experiences are overnight visit programs designed to expose high school seniors to the diversity of the Tufts community. Participants have the opportunity to experience academic and social life by staying in a residence hall with an undergraduate student, attending lectures from professors, eating meals in the dining halls, and watching a student-led showcase by several on-campus performance groups. While Voices has traditionally attracted participants from underrepresented backgrounds – including but not limited to students of color; first generation college-bound students; LGBT students; students from low-income backgrounds; and students from rural communities – any student interested in learning about diversity at Tufts is welcome to apply. Travel assistance is available for students for whom the trip to campus would present a financial hardship.
